Watermelon is a vine-like flowering plant originally from southern Africa.

They are not the best for them and should be avoided as a food.

Wet cat food is food for consumption by cats.

Cats have requirements for their specific dietary nutrients.

Certain nutrients, including many vitamins and amino acids, are degraded by the temperatures, pressures and chemical treatments used during manufacture.

They must be added after manufacture to avoid nutritional deficiency.

The amino acid taurine, for example, which is found within meat, is degraded during processing, so synthetic taurine is normally added afterwards.

No they can’t at all.

Wet cat food is made only for the specific nutritional requirements of cats, and so is a food to avoid feeding hamsters.

It isn’t a good idea to feed them wheat picked from fields as it may contain parasites because they may harm a hamster.

However, generally wheat products are fine for them to eat as long as they don’t contain additional flavorings or additives.

Vaseline is a well known product that is produced around the world owned by Anglo-Dutch company Unilever.

It is renown as a lubricator and can be used for many different purposes.

Vaseline products include plain petroleum jelly, soaps, lotions, cleansers, deodorants and lubricants.

In many languages the word “Vaseline” is used as generic for petroleum jelly.

In Portuguese and some Spanish speaking countries the Unilever products are called Vasenol. (source)

So can hamsters eat vaseline?

Unfortunately, hamsters can’t even touch vaseline at all.

It will make them sick and may possibly kill them and so is something to avoid hamsters coming into contact with.

Weetabix is a whole grain wheat breakfast cereal produced by Weetabix Limited in the United Kingdom.

It comes in the form of palm-sized (approx. 9.5 cm × 5.0 cm or 4″ × 2″) rounded rectangle-shaped biscuits.

The UK cereal is manufactured in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, and exported to over 80 countries.

So can hamsters eat weetabix?

Yes they can eat it in small amounts. However, it has no nutritional value for them, so don’t give them too much of it to eat.

They can’t have it with milk either because it is not good for them to drink.

White bread typically refers to breads made from wheat flour from which the bran.

Also the germ layers have been removed (and set aside) from the whole wheatberry as part of the flour grinding or milling process.

This produces a light-colored flour.

This milling process can give white flour a longer shelf life by removing the natural oils from the whole grain.

Removing the oil allows products made with the flour, like white bread, to be stored for longer periods of time avoiding potential rancidity.

So can hamsters eat white bread?

Yes they can nibble at it.

However, it is not the best food for hamsters to eat as it has no nutritional value for them.

So don’t give them too much and make sure there isn’t anything else like butter on it.

Can hamsters eat salt?

Unfortunately, they can’t eat salt at all.

This is because it is not good for them at all and will harm them if even a little is fed to them.

Salmon is a popular food.

Classified as an oily fish, salmon is considered to be healthy due to the fish’s high protein, high omega-3 fatty acids, and high vitamin D[85] content.

Salmon is also a source of cholesterol, with a range of 23–214 mg/100 g depending on the species.

Unfortunately they can’t eat salmon. Fish is not good for them to eat, plus the fact that salmon contains small bones which are hard to decipher in amongst the flesh and can get lodged in their throats.
