Impact/Evaluation Study of the Scheme “Central Fodder
Development Organisation”, Ministry of Agriculture
“Central
Fodder Development Organisation” is a scheme implemented
by the Ministry of Agriculture with an objective to propagate
fodder cultivation in the Country. The study, which has just
been initiated, tries to assess the impact of the scheme in
the Country. The study covers all the three components of
the scheme, namely, Regional Stations for Forage Production
and Demonstration, Central Fodder Seed Production Farm and
Central Minikit Testing Programme on Fodder Crops. Data collection
for all the three components is being carried out simultaneously.
Primary
data for the study is collected from a sample of households
in selected Gram Panchayats, identified randomly from selected
Districts in identified States under the various Regional
Stations. Secondary data available with the Ministry of Agriculture,
the Regional Stations, CFSP Farm, other related offices, documents
with the implementing departments/agencies and information
from previous studies, if any, will also be utilised for analysis.
Discussions, personal as well as group, will be organised
at the selected Regional Stations, apart from discussions
with the farmers at the villages, to collect qualitative information
relevant for the study. |
