The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 on 17 September 2024. The CTET December 2024 Exam has been scheduled to 15 December, from the initial date announced of 01 December 2024.
The Exam will take place in two shifts :- 1. morning shift (9:30 AM to 12 Noon) for paper 2 and 2. evening shift (2:30 PM to 5:00 PM) for paper 1. The online application window to apply for the recruitment is open from 17 September to 16 October 2024 (Before 11:59 PM).Eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment and start their preparation.
As per the official notification, The exam will be conducted on 15 December in 136 cities all over the Country and in case the number of candidates is more in any city then exam may also be conducted on 14 December.

Eligibility Criteria For CTET December 2024
Before applying for the CTET December 2024 Exam, candidates must check their eligibility whether they can apply or not. The eligibility criteria has been established by National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), to make sure candidates are adequately prepared for their teaching position.
The NCTE has assessed the eligibility of candidates based on some criteria including Nationality, Age Limit, Educational Qualification and Number of Attempts.
For the educational qualification, candidates must meet with the following criterias established by the NCTE Organization :-
Paper 1 (For Primary Level ) Educational Qualification : –
- Candidates passed or still pursuing the final year of a 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) with at least 50 % passing marks from a recognised institute.
OR
- Aspirants passed or are pursuing the final year of a 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) with at least 50 % passing marks from a recognised institute.
OR
- Candidates must have passed the graduation with at least 50 % marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Paper 2 (For Upper Primary Level ) Educational Qualification :-
- Candidates must have passed the graduation and passed or are still pursuing the final year of a 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED).
OR
- Aspirants must have cleared the graduation with at least 50 % marks and also passed or are still appearing in the first year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
OR
- Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary (Or Equivalent Degree) Standard with at least 50 % and also passed or are still appearing for 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
- Applicants must have passed the post graduation with at least 55% marks from a recognised institute and a 3-year integrating B.ED – M.ED.

The examination fee structure for CTET December 2024 Exam varies as per the categories of candidates and number of papers they intent to appear for the exam. The fee structure for the recruitment follows as below in the table :-
