RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2024 : Check Age Limit, Educational Qualification, & Medical Standards @ indianrailways.gov.in

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released notification for Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Recruitment Exam on 13 September 2024. Before applying for recruitment, candidates must  know about the eligibility requirement.

The Board has assessed the eligibility based on 4 factors :- 1. Age Limit 2. Educational Qualification 3. Nationality and 4. Medical Fitness. Candidates must meet with the above factors before applying for the exam.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total 11558 vacancies for graduate and Undergraduate level posts under the Indian Railway. RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2024 Overview :- 

The exam is conducted for Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) within Indian Zonal Railway and Production Unit. The overview for eligibility criteria is given below in the table : –

  1. Age Limit : – 
  • For graduate level post :- 18 to 36 years (as of 01 January 2024) 
  • For undergraduate level post :- 18 to 33 years (as of 01 January 2024)

There is also age relaxation provided by the Indian Railway for reserved category candidates and railways employees as per the government rules.

To apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024, candidates must have completed the graduation degree for a recognised university in any stream. The post wise educational qualification is given below in the table : –

To apply for this recruitment, RRB also specify the nationality of candidates. Candidates must need to belongs to any condition given below

  •  a citizen of India, or 
  •  a subject of Nepal, 
  •  a subject of Bhutan, or 
  • Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, 
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

The RRB NTPC recruitment 2024 has also set the medical standards for candidates. They need to show their medical standards as per given below in the table : –

RRB NTPC Eye Standard:- 

Candidates need to follow the direction for eye standard which is set by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).The eye standards follows as : –

Medical Standards Visual acuity
A-2Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (No fogging test). 
Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without glasses.
Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Myopic vision.
A-3Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D). 
Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses. 
Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Myopic vision.
B-2Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (Power of lenses not to exceed 4D). 
Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required. 
Must pass a test for Field of Vision (Binocular Vision) etc.
C-2Distant Vision: 6/12, nil with or without glasses. 
Near Vision: Sn 0.6 combined with or without glasses where reading or close work is required.

RRB NTPC Eligibility Experience : –

There is no prior experience needed to apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment. But candidates must meet these eligibility criteria to apply for the recruitment.
