CMD offers a number of short-term training programmes to provide inputs for improved management policies and practices. In the past, over a hundred organisations have sponsored participants for these programmes. The programmes, either general, or organisation based, cover general management, functional areas of management as well as other specialised areas.
Apart from giving training on management development, the Centre has strong presence in Entrepreneurship Development Programmes aimed at training prospective small entrepreneurs /investors. These training programmes are intended to develop and promote entrepreneurship among the unemployed educated youth. A typical entrepreneurship programme includes class room sessions as well as practical training on various aspects of operation and management of small/micro enterprise.
Out of the Entrepreneurship training programmes being implemented by the Centre, the Micro Enterprises Development Programme has reaped substantial results for the unemployed youth. This programme has moved from strength to strength over the years.
